Product Care

Proper care ensures your pieces age beautifully. With a few mindful steps, you can extend their longevity and preserve their quality for years to come.

Oxidation is a natural reaction between brass and its environment; it is not a defect and contributes to the material’s evolving character.

Brass Cutlery Care

All brass cutlery pieces are handcrafted in solid brass and will naturally develop a patina over time. This is part of the material’s character. If you prefer to maintain the original matte-gold look, follow the care routine below.

Daily Care

  • Rinse after use and wash with warm water and mild dish soap.

  • Dry immediately with a soft cloth to prevent water marks.

  • Avoid abrasive sponges or harsh chemical cleaners.

Restoring the Matte-Gold Finish for Hammered Collection

If the brass becomes oxidized or darkens:

  1. Submerge the pieces in white vinegar for a few minutes.

  2. Rinse with hot water and wash with dish soap.

  3. Dry thoroughly.

Polishing (Optional)

  • Use a non-abrasive brass polish and a soft cloth for a brighter, reflective finish.

  • Avoid excessive polishing on hammered textures to preserve their surface character.
